Annual Report Translation for an Environmental Task Force

Spanish Annual Report Translation
Language Connections had two major steps in handling this project. Firstly, our project manager located a Spanish translator who also had a background in environmental sciences. We then pulled all English text from this long report, which was full of charts and maps, and then passed them on for the Spanish translation services. When we received the translated text back, we updated the report.
This annual report translation wasn’t complete after receiving expert translation services, though. The second phase of the project entailed desktop publishing services in addition to the usual translation services. To do this, Language Connections updated the design with the new Spanish text. This process got tricky, as there is always an expansion of the text by about 20-30% when going from English to Spanish. Our project manager ensured that the annual report translation was laid out well and the new Spanish text did not distort any maps or charts.
