For this project, Language Connections specifically focused on proofreading and jazzing up a marketing translation from Korean to English.  Because the client had a team member who could speak English, they had him translate the document to start the process.  This translation, however, in addition to having some small grammatical errors, still needed the nuances of the language to be addressed in order to achieve a professional business translation appropriate for marketing purposes. We needed to find someone who was not only able to speak both Korean and English, but also someone with the right background– one spanning multiple fields.

Language Connections found the ideal global translator by focusing on the two requirements we knew would make the project a success. We needed a translator who not only had a background in life sciences translation and could also write more creatively. This attention to detail in hiring the right vendors was key.

Besides the combination of marketing and medical topics, this project was also a little rarer because we didn’t help the client from the beginning of the process. Like this cancer research firm, some of our clients only engage us for parts of the translation process.  Options like this can be more cost-effective.  We can work with clients to determine a solution that is customized to their needs and budget.

Another way we met this client’s needs was to produce the healthcare translation they needed in a quick turnaround.  They firm was facing some deadlines for regulation boards, as often happens in the pharmaceutical field. We ensured that the we provided the flawless remote translation services they needed in the timeframe they required.
