Babson College Spanish Consecutive Interpreting Services
Boston, MA – December 2016 – Language Connections, a translation services and interpretation agency based in Boston,works regularly to provide full education translation services for all types of events. In a recent project we provided Spanish consecutive interpreting services during an employee training session which took place at Babson College.
The event was a training session focused on how to deal with and stop harassment or discrimination based on gender and sexual orientation. The role of Language Connections was to ensure that native Spanish speakers attending the meeting that were not proficient in English were able to benefit equally from the training session.
Spanish Consecutive Interpreting Services
We selected one of our expert Spanish consecutive interpreters to facilitate during the meeting. Interpreting demands that interpreters conduct themselves in a highly professional manner, not allowing their personal views or opinions to interfere with their job (see our post on Ethics in Interpreting for more information). Due to the delicate nature of topics surrounding the event, our Spanish interpreter had to be sensitive as to how he relayed the information discussed, while still ensuring that everything was interpreted regardless if he had any views on the topic.
