This client was a family-owned food distribution company based in Texas.  We trained a small group of employees who work in the manufacturing section of the company, both managers and lower level employees. The main goal of the program was to have the employees (who spoke their native language of Burmese) become proficient in English in order to improve interoffice communication. Those who work in manufacturing needed to be able to communicate effectively with employees in the management and sales departments. While this was the main purpose of the training program, it also provided other intangible benefits.
