Healthcare Language Services for The Corpus
Boston, MA December 2017 – Language Connections’ suite of language offerings includes certified translation, subtitles for videos, and interpreting services.
In a recent project, we were asked to provide life sciences translation services encompassing all three of these for The Corpus: an online medical information company.
The Corpus is an expert-led, medical education initiative aimed at improving healthcare worldwide. Their goal is to use technology to ease the barriers faced by clinicians of accessing the knowledge of medical experts from around the globe. As part of their initiatives, The Corpus offers online webinars and informative videos.[/vc_column_text]
Medical Language Services For Polish and Turkish
For this project, our healthcare language services were split into two projects – the first, and currently ongoing, being Polish translation and video subtitling for one of The Corpus’ medical education programs.
The video contains rather technical terminology related to disease treatment, so our translator was chosen based on her background in the medical field.
Turkish Interpreting
The second project involved language support during one of The Corpus’ live, online seminars. Our English to Turkish interpreting services were utilized for an online webinar given by an expert in the field of chronic heart failure. It was followed by a Q&A session.
The interpreter facilitated in real time throughout the presentation as well as the discussion that followed. She was selected for her simultaneous interpretation skills, as well as her knowledge of clinical medicine.
The Corpus is in the process of expanding their offerings in different languages. We are proud to be part of their efforts to bring medical expertise to all parts of the world, and look forward to continued partnership in the future!
