Multilingual Document Translation for Clinical Trials
April 2016 Boston, MA – Language Connections, a translation and interpreting services company based in Boston, MA, recently worked with a well-established patient communications company for which we translated information on clinical trials for patients participating in the studies. The client, Center for Information and Study on Clinical Research Participation (CISCRP), has partnered with us in the past on other similar projects which required our multilingual document translation services.
CISCRP is an independent non-profit organization that helps health professionals educate and inform the public and patients about clinical research.It is a non-profit organization aimed at bringing the public and patients together in the clinical research process by offering a number of services to both help companies understand public attitudes and improve the patient experience.
Multilingual Document Translation Services
We translated cilnical trial results and follow up communication for patients that have completed their participation in trials sponsored by various big pharma clients of CISCRP, This particular project was somewhat complex, and required translation of said documents into multiple languages, including both frequently translated languages (Chinese, French, Spanish, and Russian) as well as some rarer ones (Icelandic, Kannada, Malayalam). Additionally, Spanish and French were localized for target audiences in Latin America and Spain, and Canada, Belguim and France, respectively.
A summary of results from two separate clinical trials as well as patient surveys regarding these summaries were mostly translated into 28 languages. Due to the sensitive nature of the content, as with any patient-related materials, the text was culturally adapted for each target audience. As a result of our years of experience working with companies involved in clinical research, we have accumulated expert linguists in a diverse array of languages, allowing us to provide expert translation into all of the requested languages.
