Spanish and Vietnamese Document Translation for Safety Training

One of our local clients, a company specializing in boat construction, recently requested that we provide Spanish and Vietnamese document translation services for presentation materials as part of the their corporate training and ethics compliance program.
Our client is known for constructing a variety of luxury boating vessels, and they have a diverse workforce with English fluency levels varying between employees. As a result, during the company’s recent training program, they needed to ensure that all of their employees were able to understand the materials presented to them.
This was particularly important as the training was primarily for the safety of their workers and needed to be in compliance with federal and state standards.
Spanish and Vietnamese Document Translation Services
A large number of the client’s ESL employees are immigrants from Latin America and Vietnam. In order to properly implement the company’s Occupational Health and Safety training program we were asked to translate PowerPoint documents and presentations covering safety training from English into Spanish and Vietnamese.
In addition to the presentations we also provided Spanish and Vietnamese document translation of Health Insurance Provider forms.
When translating safety material, it is important to use linguists familiar with the terminology that is often used. Any incorrect translations can result in employees not understanding basic protocols, and even worse accidents resulting from this.As such our chosen linguists have years of experience providing sensitive translations such as these.
In addition to ensuring accuracy in the translations, we also had to make sure that the Vietnamese translation services adjusted for differences in the written script in order to stay comparable with the English source text. In addition, the Spanish translator adapted the materials specifically for the Latin American Spanish dialect, which differs in some ways from European Spanish.
Overall the PowerPoint translation project was completed on time and within budget!
