Translation of Patient Recruitment Documents
Boston, MA – Language Connections is a Boston interpreting services agency that works closely with companies involved in the Life Science industry, including Contract Research Organizations (CROs). One of our clients, Parexel International, a large global CRO primarily involved in organizing clinical trials, requested multilingual clinical research document translation for various pharmaceutical companies conducting international clinical trials.
Parexel International is a multinational life sciences consulting firm that conducts clinical trials on behalf of its pharmaceutical clients to expedite the drug approval process. This demands attention to regulatory differences, as well as methods of overcoming critical linguistic and cultural barriers to ensure successful regulatory approval. Among the important factors involved in overcoming these barriers is partnering with a language service provider experienced in the industry. Parexel came to us with a large volume of documents involving clinical research documentation for trials conducted by their clients all around the world. As a result they were in need of translation services in quite a few languages.
Pharmaceutical Document Translation Services
We worked on multiple projects for Parexel, translating patient recruitment materials and other related patient information into a number of languages. Translating these types of documents, including informed consent forms, demands high standards in accuracy and a great deal of expertise. Our professional linguists are not only life science experts which means that they are proficient in industry terminology, but they are also knowledgeable regarding cultural nuances that are critical in ensuring culturally appropriate translations for each patient population. Among the languages requested were Portuguese for Brazil and Portugal, French for Quebec and France, as well as Spanish for Spain and Latin America. These were culturally adapted in accordance with the country where each of the trials was to be conducted. Additionally, we translated regulatory documents into several other European languages, including Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Romanian, Italian, Slovenian, Danish, Czech, Polish, German, and Hungarian. We also provided Ukrainian, Russian, Hebrew, Chinese, Korean, and Thai translations.
